Supreme Commission for Elections 1992

 


based on the item text ( 20 ) from this law the first supreme commission formed for the elections where the law stated That the Supreme Electoral Committee is formed from number that is not less than five members and does not exceed seven.

they are appointed by the decision of the presidency council From a list that contains  ( 15 )  name that the House of Representatives nominates .

And as a result to political circumstances the formation of the supermen commission became impossible according to the previous item to this law then the law was issued a number ( 42 ) to year 1992 Regarding the addition of an item to the interim judgments to the public elections law it stated what follows : -
( For the purposes of the first round of the House of Representatives, the Supreme Commission for Elections is  formed from seventeen members that the House of Representatives nominate that are appointed  by A decision from the presidency council.

On the 18th of  August 1992  the decision of the president of the presidency council was issued a number ( 4 ) of year 1992  with the formation of the Supreme Commission for Elections and it is as follows:

Mrs. Rakiya Humaidan

Mr. Abdul Malik AL-Mikhlafi

Mr. Ahmed Abdul Rehman K arhash

Dr. Hassan Bazara

Mr. Hamood Hashem Al- Dharihi

Dr. Ahmed Abdull Rehman Sharaf Al-Din

Mr. Abdulla Sallam Al-Hakimi

Mr. Yassin Abdo Saeed

Mr. Abdul Fattah Al-Basir


And is was entrusted with this commission the administration of the first elections that takes place in Yemen after the unity  which was parliamentary elections on the 27 April  1993
And its was noticed from the formation of  this commission that it included in membership A single woman and this step Yemen got a respect and the appreciation of the organizations and the countries interested in the Democratic process, And then the praise for it as being the first step from its kind in the history of the political and democratic work that Yemen passed And many of the countries that preceded Yemen in the election and the democratic process did not achieve.
